West Ham agree deal for new back-of-shorts partner
August 20 – West Ham United have signed Williams Environmental as the new back-of-shorts partner for the club’s men’s first team.
The waste management company’s branding will appear on the back of West Ham’s shorts, alongside matchday LED exposure and a package of digital rights across the club’s platforms.
The deal represents a sizeable step up from Williams Environmental’s previous relationship with the club. The family-run, east London-based company has been involved with West Ham for several years through Club London and now moves into the club’s formal sponsorship portfolio.
West Ham Director of Sales Joseph Benjamin said: “Having worked with Jason and the team at Williams Environmental for several years, to see them progress from Club London members to Official Back of Shorts Partner marks a proud moment for everyone connected with West Ham United.
“Our successful relationship has been testament to our shared passion for exceptional service, which makes this partnership the perfect fit for the Club and Williams Environmental. The Williams team’s love for the Club has been clear to see since the day we began working with them and we’re incredibly excited to strengthen our partnership with them, as we both strive to achieve our goals in the season ahead.”
Williams Environmental chief executive Jason Whitmore said: “Over the last six or seven years, our relationship with the club has grown, and this new partnership is a massive step for the business in terms of brand awareness, but it’s also about creating an even stronger bond between West Ham United and the Williams team.
“We’re proud of where we come from and proud to employ locally, giving people the chance to train, develop and build a career with Williams. To now strengthen our partnership with a club that means so much to our family and our team is something we’re incredibly proud of and very exciting for the future.”
