August 20 – The Football Federation of North Macedonia (FFM) has officially withdrawn its support for Gianni Infantino’s candidacy for re-election as FIFA President. 
 
The decision was announced following a meeting between the presidents of UEFA member associations, the UEFA President, and the Executive Committee. FFM has sent official written notification regarding its position. 
 
According to the federation, the decision was reached after careful consideration of recent developments and FIFA’s current governance, particularly concerning institutional integrity, good governance, and transparency in its relations with national associations. 
 
FFM emphasised that trust, accountability, and open dialogue must serve as the foundation for managing global football, stressing that the best interests and development of the sport must always come first. 
 
As a UEFA member, FFM reaffirmed its commitment to the shared principles and values of European football. The federation stated it will continue to stand alongside other national associations dedicated to protecting, developing, and advancing the game, while remaining committed to cooperating with international partners to safeguard the sport’s future.
